Why ImagesCompressor exists
Image optimization should not require a subscription dashboard, a cloud upload or a complex editor. ImagesCompressor focuses on a simple workflow: select supported files, choose understandable settings, process them locally and download the results.
Free access and no account
The current service has no premium plan, payment system or user account. It does not need a database or application server. The static architecture reduces operating complexity and lets the tool start quickly on modern browsers.
Local image processing
Selected JPG, PNG and WebP image content is processed with browser JavaScript. It is not uploaded to ImagesCompressor servers. Temporary previews and outputs live in browser memory and are released when removed or when the page session ends.
This local-processing statement is specific to image content. The page makes normal network requests for static files, fixed third-party libraries and a live Adsterra advertisement. Advertising partners may process technical browser, device, referrer, IP-address and advertising-identifier data, but selected image content is not intentionally provided to the advertising script.
Privacy-first defaults
EXIF metadata preservation is disabled by default because metadata can contain camera information, dates and sometimes location. The current application does not use persistent browser storage. Image Blobs remain temporary and are not placed in localStorage, sessionStorage or IndexedDB.
Honest limitations
Browser image work is constrained by available memory and feature support. Folder selection varies, WebP export depends on the browser, and an exact target size cannot be guaranteed. Canvas PNG quality does not behave like JPEG quality. Conversion can sometimes increase file size. The interface reports these tradeoffs rather than hiding them.
Supported by useful content and advertising
The business model combines organic discovery, practical educational articles and display advertising. The active homepage advertisement is clearly labeled and visually separate from upload and download actions. Advertising scripts are separate from the compression engine, and blocking the advertisement does not block the tool.
The owner must configure any consent experience required by the advertising setup and applicable law. Refusing optional advertising cookies must not block the core tool. Visitors should consult the advertising provider's privacy documentation for its processing practices.
Educational commitment
The blog explains why an output may become larger, when formats differ, how dimensions affect delivery and why no universal target fits every image. Articles avoid fabricated numbers, rankings, testimonials and guarantees.
What comes next
The website is currently available in English only. Future improvements will continue to prioritize reliable browser processing, clear format guidance, accessibility and lightweight static delivery.
