1. Acceptance
These terms govern use of ImagesCompressor, operated by Youssef TAK. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Effective date: 2023-10-01.
2. Free service and no account
ImagesCompressor is provided as a free browser-based utility. No account, subscription or payment is required in the current version. The service is supported by clearly identified third-party advertising.
3. Your responsibility
You are responsible for the files you select, the settings you choose, reviewing results and determining whether an output is appropriate. Keep original backups. Do not treat a downloaded compressed or converted file as your only copy unless you have independently verified it.
4. Browser limitations
Processing depends on browser APIs, available memory, device performance and third-party compression libraries. Large dimensions can require substantially more decoded memory than the compressed file size. Folder selection, WebP export, background workers, downloads and ZIP behavior vary by browser.
5. Supported files
The current tool accepts JPEG, PNG and WebP files subject to displayed limits. A matching extension or MIME label does not guarantee that a file is valid or decodable. SVG, GIF, TIFF and PDF are not supported in this version.
6. Legal use
You may process only files that you have a lawful right to use. Do not use the service to infringe intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality or other rights, distribute malware, break applicable law or interfere with the site.
7. Intellectual property
You retain rights you hold in your image files. Selecting a file for local browser processing does not grant ImagesCompressor ownership of it. The site design, original copy, branding and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property rules, subject to notices for third-party open-source libraries.
8. Service availability
The service may be updated, suspended or discontinued. Access can be interrupted by browser changes, CDN availability, hosting incidents, maintenance or factors outside the operator’s control. No specific uptime is promised.
9. Compression and output guarantees
No absolute size reduction, exact output size, visual quality, metadata preservation or compatibility result is guaranteed. A converted file may be larger than its source. A 0.1 MB target is approximate and may not produce exactly 100 KB. PNG quality behavior differs from JPEG and WebP.
10. Third-party services
The site uses fixed versions of browser-image-compression and JSZip delivered through jsDelivr, Cloudflare hosting and a live Adsterra advertisement. Those providers have their own terms, privacy documentation and availability. Advertising requests are separate from the compression engine, and blocking an advertisement does not block the tool. ImagesCompressor is not responsible for third-party services outside its reasonable control.
11. Advertising
Advertisements are separated from tool controls and must not be mistaken for downloads or required steps. Adsterra or its partners may receive technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, referrer data and advertising identifiers. Selected image content is not intentionally provided to the advertising script. Advertising partners apply their own terms and privacy practices, and the site owner must configure consent requirements where applicable.
12. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or uninterrupted operation. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Youssef TAK is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss arising from use of or inability to use the service, including lost files, business interruption or unsuitable outputs. Applicable consumer law may provide rights that override this clause.
14. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Moroccan Data Protection Law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections or jurisdiction rules that apply to you.
15. Changes
Terms may be updated to reflect product, provider or legal changes. The effective date should identify the current version. Continued use after an update may constitute acceptance where permitted by law.
